I am now interested enough to consider getting this when it reaches 1.0 status. I wish they would cut out this eternal beta thing.
Developers need to stop public betas altogether, especially in anything competitive. They don’t get the idea that long-term beta players destroy any hope for a future community. Example: the Mount & Blade series. If you tried to get into the Warlord mp and you weren’t active during beta, you got massacred by people who had been learning every nuance of the game for months. Also, by the time the thing got to 1.0, the vets were tapering off. Result: reduced numbers in mp.
Just do the right thing and hire beta testers until you have a product. Close off beta, then sell 1.0 to everybody. How hard is that?
Also, not being judgmental here, but people who don’t buy OMD2 and 5-skull every endless map are communist hermaphrodite dog molesters.
